14 September — Woodlands / Admiralty Grove
About 9.35pm. Common corridor on the eighth floor, Block 693B Woodlands Avenue 6 (Admiralty Grove Housing and Development Board cluster).
SCDF said the fire involved a shoe rack (the contents of a shoe rack) along the common corridor on the eighth floor. Members of the public extinguished the fire using hosereels before SCDF arrived. No injuries were reported.
Police said they received several calls for assistance at about 9.35pm; police investigations are ongoing.
Resident accounts describe hearing loud booming sounds, using a home extinguisher, then hose reels and pails, and helping neighbours leave. Those details are resident narrative, not SCDF findings on cause. This post does not write “explosion” as an official cause, and it does not invent a battery, lithium-ion, power-bank, or stored-device cause.
The cause was still under investigation. Scene damage reported in coverage (including soot and a damaged exercise bike outside a flat) is scene damage, not an SCDF cause finding.
